The Shakespeare Youth Festival partnered up with 40 professional theatres UK-wide to give 16-21 year olds the opportunity to stage, direct, design and perform an abridged Shakespeare play.
The performances happened in theatres around the UK in February and March 2008, with two 45 minute performances happening every night.
To further celebrate SYF theatre companies acheivements, Shakespeare Youth Fesitval hosted '
Shakespeare in the City' a unique fringe festival event in Liverpool, July 5th-7th 2008. The event had SYF groups performing again in diverse venues across the city.
