There are a number of ways in which participation in the Shakespeare Schools Festival can be funded.
General advice
Raising funds in school – for example with lunchtime performances in school to raise money, or a themed Shakespeare activity week in the lead up to performance. We can provide additional flyers and promotional material for you and your cast to help publicise their participation in the project. In previous cases, the school has provided match funding for what the students themselves manage to raise, to enable participation.
Approaching a business sponsor – SSF Coordinators can help your school make an approach to either an existing or new business sponsor who may wish to support your participation. SSF can also help with ongoing promotion and support of this partnership on our website and in the Festival programme.
Pupil/parent support – Involving a maximum of 30 students in the project means the project costs less than £23 per head for students. In some cases, students may wish to contribute towards funding the project themselves.
