Shakespeare in the City shook up Liverpool between Friday 4th July - Monday, 7th July 2008, with over 250 students from across the UK and Merseyside giving over 50 performances  in 25 venues including museums, shopping centres, hospitals, cathedrals and docks as part of Liverpool's European Capital of Culture celebrations.

The Festival concluded with stunning performances at Liverpool Hope University, and a packed out audience for Shakespeare at the The Cavern.
