Shakespeare 24 project timeline
2007
April - October
Launch of Shakespeare 24 event. International groups register their interest.
Shakespeare 24 production resource packs are emailed out and extensive online material is provided for participating groups.
November
International groups are paired up with schools/youth groups participating in the Shakespeare Youth Festival in the UK creating online cultural youth links.
December
Shakespeare 24 run a series of online video mentor interviews to help groups explore their own interpretations of Shakespeare’s plays.
2008
January
Online marketing material designs e.g. posters, t-shirt templates; are made available for groups to download, print up and advertise around their local area.
Videos of workshop exercises are also made available online to help groups explore their production ideas and to understand Shakespeare better.
February
The event flyer/programme design is available online for groups to download, add their information to and print off to distribute locally. A template press release is also made available online for groups to use to help promote their show with local press.
March
Groups are encouraged to send in video, audio and photos to represent their show in an online video advert. Their material will also be used on our website to represent them during their live performance on April 23rd.
Wednesday, April 23rd
Participating groups from any country around the world perform at 7pm, local time, their abridged Shakespeare play as part of a unique 24-hour performance event.
Liverpool is the host city for the UK performance of Shakespeare 24.
