The 2009 Festival is sponsored by the newly formed Transformation Trust. Set up by Partnerships for Schools as an independent education charity The Transformation Tust aims to give young people access to opportunities and experiences aimed at transforming their futures and helping them fulfill their potential.

Shakespeare Schools Festival is one of four; flag-ship charities that the Transformation Trust has chosen to support. The other charities The Transformation Trust is supporting are:
Magic Breakfast - a quarter of pupils in some of the UK's most deprived areas arrive at school too hungry to learn. Magic Breakfast delivers free, healthy breakfast items to primary schools.
Formula 1 in Schools - brings the thrill of F1 within reach and encourages young people to consider a career in engineering.
icould - is an independent online resource which offers young people direction, inspiration and hope for their futures. Celebrities, senior business people and professional sports athletes are amongst the thousands who have filmed their career stories for the website.

May 19th saw the launch of The Trust at the London Eye and SSF performers were out in force to help them celebrate.
