Scottish Gala Dinner

Date:
18 May, 2011

The Merchants’ Hall, Edinburgh

Shakespeare Schools Festival staged a fundraising gala dinner to support its valuable work with young people in Scotland.

During dinner guests saw Shakespeare as they have never seen it before, as talented young people who took part in the 2010 Scottish Festival performed extracts from their productions.

Parts in a Midsummer night’s Dream were auctioned to guests and the lucky winners having rehearsed with a professional theatre director gave the evening’s closing performance.

All money raised from this fundraising evening directly supports performances in Inverness, Falkirk, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow and enables SSF to bring this unique experience to more young people in Scotland.

The evening is generously supported by Glasshouse Hospitality. Visit their website at www.glasshousehospitality.com

We are also very grateful for support from
