Performances in National Trust Properties
SSF schools explored their local heritage with performance days at properties across the UK.SSF participants explored their local heritage at three properties across the UK: Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk; Ormesby Hall in Middlesbrough; and Craflwyn in Snowdonia.
Cast members spent the day in the properties, rehearsing in the grounds and touring the historic buildings before performing their half hour plays. Primary school audiences watched matinee performances in the grounds, whilst National Trust members, friends and family attended evening shows.
Wet weather failed to put a dampener on events, as audiences were treated to intimate studio performances in the servants' chambers and dining halls of these beautiful venues.
