Fundraising Gala Dinner
The Shakespeare Schools Festival returned to the Middle Temple Hall.
The Middle Temple was the setting for another hugely successful Gala Dinner, hosted by Anna Ford. Guests enjoyed performances from Priestlands School's Romeo and Juliet and Prendergast-Hilly Fields School's A Midsummer Night's Dream, in the beautiful Middle Temple Gardens. They were then escorted into the main Hall for more magnificent performances, from Sir Tom Finney School with their adaptation of Hamlet and Catford High School's Macbeth.
The audience was then given the chance to tread the boards in a specially adapted version of Romeo and Juliet. Following some words of advice from Adetomiwa Edun, currently playing Romeo at the Globe, the newly formed Middle Temple Players were led by Sir Michael Burton to a highly acclaimed performance of "Ro & Ju". It was a wonderful evening, and our sincerest thanks to all involved.
